Throwing a net around town...

It seems like only yesterday that MaryEllen Fisher was having a conversation with her landlord, and they wanted her to sign a 5 year lease for her hair salon.
“Are you kidding!” was her initial response. That seemed like such a long time to commit and what if her new business didn’t catch on? She wanted to sign a 2 year lease, just in case.
This year MaryEllen Fisher is celebrating her 20th Anniversary of Mane Street Hairstyling at her 9 South Main Street location.

Time flies when you are having fun, she says. On a recent visit to her salon, MaryEllen said that her business is doing well and she especially enjoys her time with her regular customers. The patron in her chair was swapping stories with MaryEllen and both were laughing.
MaryEllen’s shop offered buy one get one half off on her hair care products during the recent Harvest Festival, and she is looking forward to Allentown’s Holiday Open House, the first weekend in December. She is planning to offer bottled water for $1 to benefit the Allentown Business Association.
